Anyone here work around food? Anyone here not like food? I've always really loved it. In 2006 I was 275 pounds, 5ft 8in. Yes , I was F-T. I'd been like that since 16. I was also the head chef in an upmarket ristorante - so I enjoyed what I made , really enjoyed it. apart from all the jokes and occasional chest pain, I was doing okay for a 27 year old. One day the pain got so bad that I thought I was having a heart attack. that's when I decided to get some real help.
My Diary
Jan 2007- got some of those weight loss pills.
March 2007- no dif. I just get tired easily.
May 2007- switched pills.
July 2007-some dif, but these pills cost a bomb!
August 2007- severe stomach complications- stopped all pills.
Sept 2007- taking up jogging, no breakfast, only friut juice.
Nov 2007- Still running but I get really hungry after the run- so I eat.
Jan 2008- Still F-T.
Jan 2008- Mom suggested hypnotherapy. I said i'm not letting anyone mess with my head. Rubbish, said mom- it's a science!(she's a nurse, you know)
March 2008- I've done nothing for a while, back my old 275lbs(and a bit)
May 2008- chest pains(im reminded of my mortality and size)
May 2008- Went online looking for a hypnotherapist in Leeds. Only 50 came up in my search. I asked mom which one(shes a nurse , you know). After much research realised that there were a few types of hypnotherapists and stage hypnotists, etc. The one that I kept coming across was www.clinicalhypnotist.co.uk. Also read some nice reviews from other blogs.Okay- lets give them a try.I made an appointment with Andy Holmes.
I saw him the next day. Very professional and positive about helping me overcome this. Andy uses Hypnotherapy and NLP.What is that? I really don't know , i'm just a layperson. Anyway, I'd come here, so I left myself in his hands. It was a very relaxing session and I was fully aware of everything even when I was under.
After the session I did not really believe that anything had happened to change me or my desire for food. After I got home, I decided not to eat. I went for a jog the next day. Over the next few days I realised there was a change. I still liked food , but I was happy to eat less. I stopped eating while working at work. Over the next few months I saw Andy a couple of more times to reinforce those ideasthat he'd put in my head.
May 2009- I'm 177lbs.My whole life has changed.New clothes, new me.Regrets? only one- I should have seen Andy years ago.
You can reach any at www.clinicalhypnotist.com
Thank you Andy.
